Keep working hard! Put effort into every lesson and each piece of homework! It is worth it!
Battle Ground Public Schools is excited to welcome back team sports at its six neighborhood middle schools, starting with boys basketball in January and girls basketball in February. Registration is open for 7th and 8th graders who want to sign up for basketball. The reintroduction of middle school sports is also expected to benefit the district’s two comprehensive high schools. Students will start learning organized sports at an earlier age, and have a chance to meet high school players and coaches before graduating middle school.
Details
Participation is open to 7th and 8th graders. Spring cross country open to students in 6th-8th grades.
Seasons will be 5 weeks long this first year.
Weeks 1-3 will be non-competitive intramural play.
Weeks 4-5 will be competitive games vs. other middle schools in the district.

Prior to the first practice, students must have a completed sports physical and be registered on Family ID (link: click here).
Practices and games will be held after middle schools release at 2:40 p.m.
Participating students must maintain academic eligibility per district requirements.
In future years the district plans to add volleyball and some track and field events, and is exploring adding wrestling, football, golf, and Unified Sports.
