Bio: I am beginning my 4th year at Laurin Middle School. While my time here has been anything but normal, I couldn’t ask for a better school community to be a part of. This year will be my 14th as an administrator. Most of my time has been spent at Prairie, where I served as the Athletic Director/Assistant Principal and then finally as the principal for almost 5 years. As challenging as this year will be for all of us, my goal is to support our students, families, and staff in making this the best possible year.
Kelsey Kai, Admin Intern

Bio: Hi there! I am Tracy Winston (Winnie) to my grandchildren 😊This will be my 4th year at Laurin , I have been with BGSD since 2012 where previously I worked as an office assistant at BGHS. I resigned in 2015 to help care for my grandson, I continued to work as a sub and became part of the BGSD security team . Originally I was hired at Laurin as an office assistant & cafeteria supervision. Mr. Drake asked me if I would start up our ISS - P-5 room, I’m so thankful for the opportunity, making relationships with our students has been a blessing. Working with our students makes me a better human.
Janell Koppes, Nurse

Bio: This will be my 8th year as a School Nurse at Laurin Middle School. I graduated Nursing School from Clark College in 2011 and then went on to earn my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Washington State University-Vancouver. I am also the School Nurse for Glenwood Heights Primary. I have spent the majority of my career working as a School Nurse keeping students safe and healthy so they are ready to learn. One of my favorite parts of School Nursing is being able to watch my students grow and learn so much over the years. There are very few Nursing specialties that allow you this opportunity, and I’m happy I get to do this being part of the Laurin Lion Family.
